What is a doula?
First things first: what does a doula do?
To put it simply: a doula is a professional who provides practical, physical, informational, and emotional support before, during, and after childbirth.
A doula is not a medical professional, but works as a knowledgeable, comforting partner to the birthing person as they navigate pregnancy, labor, delivery, and their first few weeks as a parent.
